Pitch Week

For the past week, we’ve been busy with studying for our midterms, and also preparing our pitch for Passion Project. Unfortunately, Vanessa was sick and was unable to come to school for a couple of days, but she quickly caught up with her classes. Nevertheless, we were still able to create oreo krispies for the class. The oreo krispies were not hard to make, but it was sticky process. In addition, we also made a PowerPoint as the visual for our pitch. However, we were not as prepared as we have hoped for the pitch. Since Vanessa was still recovering from her illness, she wasn’t at her best condition. I didn’t perform so well because I was stuttering a lot. It is likely that we also passed the time limit because I had two more slides left with only 30 seconds left. In some ways, I think I had underestimated the difficulty of presenting our Passion Project, and my anxiety did not help. I hope that next time, Vanessa and I will be more prepared to talk about our Passion Project. During the presentation, I was handing out the oreo krispies to our class, and some of our classmates thought it was too sweet. Since I have a sweet tooth and I’m already used to eating desserts that are sweet, the oreo krispies tasted fine for me.

For our next creation, we are planning a Valentine’s Day themed dessert. We are excited to find a dessert to celebrate this holiday. Hopefully, we will be able to revert back to our original plan in creating samples for the class when we reach this point. Additionally, we will be trying to make desserts more frequently now that midterms and science fair will be over soon. If everything goes to plan we will be back to our original plan of making new desserts biweekly and sharing it to the class.
